257kWp installed on Saint Gobain Abrasives, Gloucestershire

Saint Gobain Abrasives is a leading manufacturer of high-quality abrasive solutions for all commercial abrasive processes. The Staverton site is home to Saint Gobain diamond operations. Saint Gobain wanted to optimise the roof area, in order to generate the maximum amount of solar energy possible for the site. Statistics show that 99.7% of the energy generated is being used on site, with virtually 0% being exported to the grid. This has led to discussions on Phase 2, which would be a complete car park canopy, with solar PV installed on its roof and fed back to the building.
