Solar Voltaics continues to install some of the most sophisticated solar energy systems for West Sussex County Council.

Systems have been installed at London Meed School in Burgess Hill, Handcross Primary School, The Brook School in Crawley and Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee School in Horsham.

The technical requirements for this group of schools were very high, partly due to the complex shading involved, but also due to additional requirements of export limitation imposed by the grid and the requirement to have safety cut-off switches fitted in case of fire.

The SolarEdge system copes with all of these demands very well without much additional equipment. The cost of the system was comparable to a conventional string inverter system and the performance will be better in the long run. The added bonus of panel level monitoring was well received by the end users.
